We have selected our Interim Executive Director! After a few discussions as a team, we decided an in-house interim would serve our organization best through the end of the year. Welcome, Matt Traynor!

Hello! If you do not already know me, my name is Matt Traynor and I’m reaching out with some exciting news: I will be serving as the Interim Executive Director of the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (MCH) through the end of 2024. I have been with MCH in a full-time capacity since 2017, and I have been leading MCH’s advocacy for approximately the last three years. This has made an impact on how we do our work, which has led to victories at the legislature and has increased our engagement with advocates. Luckily, I will be able to focus on my love for advocacy while in this new temporary role.
The work of the previous Executive Director will be split between the Director of Operations (Rachel Lynett) and myself as the Interim Executive Director. We are very confident that our work will not suffer. In fact, we believe it will be enhanced due to a team approach with our MCH Advocacy Fellowship Program, key partners, and support from the MCH Board of Directors.
We have an amazing team of people leading our work at MCH, and I’m honored to continue the great work done before me as I take on this new role through the end of the year.
