It takes different sectors working together to create a movement to end homelessness. We support the entire continuum of housing solutions including preventing homelessness, shelter, transitional housing, housing with supportive services, affordable housing development, and homeownership opportunities.

For almost 40 years, the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (MCH) has generated public policies, community support, and local resources to end homelessness in Minnesota.

We bring communities together to advance solutions at the State Capitol. Together, with 70+ member organizations throughout the state, we create a better future for our community and State.

Why join the coalition?

Return on your investment.
For member organizations, annual dues at MCH are a modest investment with a huge return for nonprofits and communities. MCH does not receive any of the funds for which we advocate. Instead, these funds go directly to service providers, housing developers, and other organizations that create and maintain a full continuum of affordable housing options across Minnesota. Since the pandemic emerged in March 2020, MCH and our members have secured record-breaking wins.

Expand your statewide professional network.
MCH convenes the full spectrum of people, organizations, and companies who care about housing stability. Our annual two-day conference and Homeless Day on the Hill bring together hundreds of advocates each year, including people experiencing homelessness, community members, direct service providers, executives, housing developers, funders, and policymakers.

Stand by your values.
Shelter saves lives. Housing ends homelessness. MCH member organizations care about Minnesotans experiencing homelessness. You are joining a community of advocates working to create stable, dignified, and affordable homes—which results in stronger neighborhoods, classrooms, and communities. Our members stand with hundreds of other organizations for a cause they believe in and a coalition that is strong and effective.
