End Homelessness in Minnesota by Powering Lived Experience Leadership
Since 1984, the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (MCH) has led statewide efforts to secure policies, resources, and community support to end homelessness. We’ve helped bring hundreds of millions of dollars into housing solutions across Minnesota—and more importantly, we’ve worked to remove the barriers that prevent people from finding and keeping stable housing.
In 2017, we made a bold shift in how we do this work, and we began asking: Are we doing advocacy with communities, or for them?
That question launched a transformation. We built the Regional Expert Network (REN)—a group of leaders with lived experience of homelessness—to guide our advocacy, shape our strategy, and ensure our work reflects the realities of those most impacted. This shift led to real, measurable change:
- $300 million in new investments for shelter infrastructure, operations, and prevention
- Stronger community-led organizing
- The launch of our paid Advocacy Fellowship Program in 2023 to deepen our commitment to equity and leadership development
This Give to the Max Day in 2025, help us fuel the next phase of this movement. You can schedule your gift in advance, or donate on November 20.
We are entering a new era: one where leadership rooted in lived experience isn’t just included, it’s at the center of everything we do.
Your gift supports:
- Our growing Advocacy Fellowship, where emerging leaders build skills, influence policy, and lead campaigns
- Year-round organizing and coalition-building in communities across Minnesota
- Nonpartisan policy solutions that move us closer to ending homelessness for good
Make your impact today. Invest in lived experience. Advance lasting change with your gifts to Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless.
