MCH is excited to welcome our newest Board Member, Jessie Hendel.
Jessie is the Vice President of Advantage Services at CommonBond Communities. CommonBond Communities is also an MCH member! Get to know Jessie below!
1) What your role is at Commonbond?
I am the Vice President of Advantage Services at CommonBond Communities. I provide leadership for CommonBond’s service delivery across our portfolio of affordable housing, which includes programs that support resident stability and independence, education and advancement, health and wellness, and community building and engagement.
2) What inspired you to do the work you do?
I have worked at CommonBond for fifteen years and began my work in a direct service role in one of our Saint Paul housing communities. When I came to CommonBond, I was passionate about supporting youth with achieving their goals. Since that time, I have become energized by our model of housing and services as a platform for individuals building their best lives.
3) What inspired you to be on MCH’s board?
MCH has an incredible mission. The advocacy work of MCH allows direct housing providers like CommonBond to do our work and ultimately provide more individuals and families with affordable homes. I believe I can help support MCHs goals through board service and will grow my skills in the process.
4) What’s something fun or interesting about you?
I have three lovely daughters who fill my time with adventures and giggles.
