Letter of Interest: 2025 MCH Fellowship Program

We’re excited to launch the process for the second cohort of the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (MCH) Advocacy Fellowship Program. This is a program designed specifically for individuals who have experienced homelessness and are ready to make a difference through policy, advocacy,  and community leadership.

This Letter of Interest (LOI) is the first step in the application process, which can be found here.

This LOI helps us determine who will be invited to formally apply for the Fellowship. You can review the full Fellowship description and selection process here. Please keep in mind that our Selection Committee, made up of MCH staff and current Fellows, will not have any background information about you, so your responses must provide a clear and complete picture of who you are and why you’re interested.

The submission deadline is July 6th at 11:59 PM. Applicants selected to move forward in the process will be notified by July 11th. You must answer all the questions below in a Word document (or similar software) and email it to matt@mnhomelesscoalition.org with the subject, “Fellowship Letter of Interest”. Please include your name, email, and phone number when sending in your LoI.

  1. Why do you want to be a Fellow in the MCH Advocacy Fellowship?
  1. What do you know about MCH and its work? Please share any past involvement with MCH or attendance at MCH events.
    1. If you are not very familiar with MCH, consider reaching out to your network to learn more about our work.
  1. Describe your experience related to working, volunteering, or advocating for ending homelessness. How will this experience inform your participation in the Fellowship program?
  1. What is a strength of yours that you’re proud of? In contrast, what skills would you like to develop as part of this fellowship?
  1. Is there anything else you want MCH to know?

The first meeting of the new Fellowship cohort will be held during the week of September 15, 2025. The exact date will be determined based on the availability of the selected Fellows.
