Runaway & Homeless Youth Act - It works!
On October 8th, youth advocates joined with staff from the MN Department of Human
Services for a release party of the RHYA Evaluation. The study found that programs
funded by the Runaway & Homeless Youth Act are making a significant impact for
homeless youth:
86% made connections with caring adults;
70% improved relationships with family members, legal guardians, or caregivers;
72% reported better school attendance;
61% had health care screening;
81% set long-term educational and career goals.
