Join us in thanking legislators

Good news came out of the Capitol last week. The House Capital Investment Committee released it’s bonding bill proposal: it includes $100 million for housing! The Senate will release its bonding proposal next month.
The MFIP Workforce Education Bill was also approved by key committees. Lawmakers will need to decide if it will be included in the final Health and Human Services bill.
We are on the right track, but there is work ahead. These bills are one piece of larger packages. Our job is to make sure they are both included in the final legislation.

Action Needed: Thank the Bill Authors

Please thank your legislator if they are chief or co-authors of the Homes for All or MFIP Workforce Education bills.
A quick email makes a difference. Please let Dan Kitzberger know who you thanked: dan@mnhomelesscoalition.org. We’re keeping track!
Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on the Senate’s bonding bill proposal. Stay tuned for more actions.  Thank you for your advocacy.
