Ask Capital Investment Conference Committee Members to Support Funding for Homeless Programs
Where do things stand
The House passed a bonding bill that sets aside $30 million for permanent supportive housing and $2 million which could be used throughout the state for emergency shelter, transitional housing, or additional permanent supportive housing. The Senate’s bill includes the $30 million, but does not include the $2 million.
The Ask
Call members of the conference committee today! THANK THEM for supporting new bonding for homelessness programs. URGE THEM to support the House version which includes $30 million in bonding for permanent supportive housing and $2 million in flexible state bonds, which could be used for emergency shelter, transitional housing, or additional permanent supportive housing.
