Are you friends with a realtor® or bought a house with a realtor’s help? Perhaps you work with one or have always wanted to befriend one, but never had a reason to do so? Well, now is your chance. We need your help.
There are 21,300 realtors® in Minnesota. Unfortunately, many of them have been given false and inaccurate information about the Housing Solutions Act and what it will mean for Minnesota.
We can’t let these inaccuracies go uncorrected! It’s important that we educate them about the true impact that passage of the Housing Solutions Act will have on Minnesota.
Our Goal
This is where you come in. We ask that you meet with at least 1 realtor® in your area and educate them about the need for affordable housing locally and how the Housing Solutions Act will help meet these needs.
Action You Can Take
Do your part! Participate in our “Befriend a Realtor® Campaign.” Participation is simple and easy. Simply follow the steps as follows:
Schedule informal 1-on-1 meetings with one or more realtors in your area. Share with them the truth about the Housing Solutions Act. The Act will benefit thousands of Minnesota households who need affordable housing. For example, it will help 1,400 additional households buy their own home. The value of the homes they purchase will total approximately $280 million. Realtors’ fees associated with new home purchases using H.S.A. resources could reach $14 million annually.
