Staff
Liz holds a certificate in Sociology from Reisjarven Opisto in Finland, a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Cloud State University and a Masters in Advocacy and Political Leadership from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. In her spare time, Liz enjoys hiking, reading, and skiing. She lives in her hometown of Eveleth, gateway to the Iron Range.

Kenza became passionate about advocacy and public policy while spending a semester in Washington, D.C. Seeing urban poverty in D.C. inspired her to move back to Minnesota to intern at a local homeless shelter. She ended up spending over two years working at St. Stephen’s Human Services, organizing with people experiencing homelessness. She is a 2010 recipient of the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition’s Social Justice Advocacy Award.
Kenza holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Guilford College in North Carolina. In May, she will finish a Master’s in Advocacy and Political Leadership from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. As a graduate student she interned with the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless, the Minnesotan Department of Human Services, and Citizens for Election Integrity. Kenza is on the grants committee of the Headwaters Foundation for Justice. She spends her free time taking theater improv classes and studying the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She grew up in St. Paul, and now lives in Minneapolis.

Dan is has spent years working as a researcher, organizer, and advocate in a variety of nonprofit organizations including the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, Association for Nonsmokers, and Neighborhood Housing Services. Before joining the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless, Dan worked in the Minnesota House of Representatives as a legislative assistant and constituent services specialist.Dan serves as the Vice Chair of the City of Richfield Planning Commission. He holds a Master’s in Advocacy & Political Leadership from the University of Minnesota Duluth. As an undergraduate, Dan was a starting linebacker on the UMD football team. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. In his free time, he can be found fishing, working out, or woodworking. Originally from New Ulm, Dan lives in Richfield.
Board of Directors
The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless is governed by a board of directors. The Board is self-electing and holds annual elections in September. The Board meets on the second Friday of each month, usually at the MCH office.
